Mivaan’s first visit to Assam

We decided to celebrate Jishu’s Annaprasanna event with all our family members at Jorhat, Assam. Accordingly date for the event has been selected as 21st September, 2017. We booked a venue near to my native home.

Jishu, Mayurakshi and me started our journey from Delhi on 16th September, 2017. We were really anxious as it is first flight journey for Jishu. As we afraid, he was nervous when the flight prepared for take off, and cried really hard for about half an hour. We were trying to cheer him up, also felt a bit embarrassed as we were drawing attention of fellow passengers. I guess these situations happens for every parent at some point. Finally Jishu settled down after some time, and I was amazed to see that this is the only time he was nervous in flight during the whole trip.

Finally, it was Durga Puja eve as well. Durga Puja celebration is really awesome in this part of the country and we have been really fond of it since our childhood. Little Jishu also joined us this time. We visited the puja pandals around the Jorhat city on Saptami and Ashtami along with our family. But wait, we had more in our plan. Kolkata was also in our itinerary. Durga Puja darshan in Kolkata was something that Myurakshi and me wanted to taste since our marriage. Accordingly, we three flew from Jarhat to Kolkata on 29th September, 2017. On the day of Dashami puja, we visited some of the famous pandals around the city of Kolkata. I must say that the pandals were amazing and the people of Kolkata really celebrate the puja of Maa Durga in a big way.
