    Travel diary 2020

The year started with lot of promise and excitement. However, the COVID-19 pandemic soon made things difficult for everybody. Restrictions in free movements and confining largely at home this year although has reminded us about importance of family times, which we would easily overlook otherwise. In spite of the pandemics, we could make a few trips this year. To start with, there was a day trip to “Chokhi Dhani” ethnic village at Sonipat in first week of March. It was just days before the pandemic outbreak was declared in the country. We made a sudden day trip to Hastinapur, the famous mythological city of Mahabharata. A day well spent and…

    Mivaan’s 2nd Visit to Assam

It always an exciting moment to visit our native place, Assam, this time I and Mivaan traveled together without Madhurjya. Madhurjya joined us in returned journey from Assam. On 24th February, 2019 we both bye to Madhurjya and flew Assam. Mivaan was quite surprised as he departed his father in this journey. He cried a little bit missing his papa, but slept through the journey without disturbing me. We halt at Kolkata for 2 hours and we both walked and played in different way. Reached my motherland at around 12 noon, and Mivaan’s ganny and uncle picked us from airport. We stayed at in-laws place for the night and next…

    Trip on First Birthday

Jishu’s first birthday was approaching and we were pondering on a few options about how to celebrate. Me and Mayurakshi really wanted to make it a special day. From Last couple of months, we have been enquiring at different banquet halls around Noida/Delhi and also with some event management teams. Initial thought was to throw a party on the day. But, somehow the general idea of a birthday party was not convincing us and we were looking for something else. One day Mayurakshi suggested to make a trip to celebrate our son’s 1st birthday. Ah, and I really love trip proposals! So we readily accepted the idea and almost in no…

A road trip on first Diwali

We decided to visit the Pink City during the Diwali in 2017. It was the first Diwali for our little Jishu. I haven’t been to Rajasthan earlier and it was a long time we had a proper road trip. So we planned to make a trip to Jaipur, including Ajmer and Pushkar. We made a relaxed plan of total 4 days, considering to give Jishu ample time to rest. Having all Set, we three started our trip from Noida to Jaipur on 19th October, 2017. Nice and smooth roads throughout and no issue in the drive. We stayed in a pre-booked hotel at Jaipur. We spent the evening at Chokhi Dhani village…

    Mivaan’s first visit to Assam

We decided to celebrate Jishu’s Annaprasanna event with all our family members at Jorhat, Assam. Accordingly date for the event has been selected as 21st September, 2017. We booked a venue near to my native home.   Jishu, Mayurakshi and me started our journey from Delhi on 16th September, 2017. We were really anxious as it is first flight journey for Jishu. As we afraid, he was nervous when the flight prepared for take off, and cried really hard for about half an hour. We were trying to cheer him up, also felt a bit embarrassed as we were drawing attention of fellow passengers. I guess these situations happens for…
